We renovated our whole house last year including a large two story extension, It was a huge and very daunting job. Our building firm sorted out all of our technical drawings and we had a very strong idea of how we wanted the building to work, so we didn't employ an architect for the job. We did, however use Kate at at-studio. She is a wonderful interior designer. She helped us at the very beginning with some space planning, talking us through where a door or a wall might or might not work, helping us cement our ideas and pointing out potential problems. She provided drawings for us to show us how the spaces we had seen in our heads would actually work. When it came to realising the kitchen we'd been dreaming of, Kate was an essential link between our imagination and the carpenter who built our kitchen. She helped us with technical knowledge, space planning, colour suggestions, technical drawings and design suggestions. Kate gently guided us through the journey and entirely respected our desire to feel real ownership of the outcome. Kate is very knowledgeable, kind, professional, and creative. She has great drawing skills and fantastic trade connections that will help you save money.
We feel so grateful for her invaluable help with our whole house.
